Once the heat is over, autumn is the best time to rediscover Camp de Túria. Here are some ideas for the coming weeks.

Hiking in mild weather

The first rains turn the Serra Calderona green again. It’s a great time for routes from Serra, Náquera, Olocau or Gátova. Check path conditions after heavy rain.

Riverside walks

The Túria Natural Park changes colour in autumn. The river trail is perfect for families or cyclists.

Mushrooms: know before you pick

If you go mushroom foraging, remember that picking in protected natural areas is regulated. Check current rules and never eat any mushroom you haven’t identified with complete certainty.

Live music

November is Saint Cecilia month: the area’s bands hold concerts and street parades. Llíria, Creative City of Music, hosts much of the programme.

Seasonal food

It’s the season for olla stew, arròs al forn and roasted sweet potatoes. Many local restaurants bring back their winter menus.

Check the TuriaTV events listings for confirmed events in each town.
