Every November, around 22 November, the music societies of Camp de Túria celebrate the feast of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music. In Llíria, UNESCO Creative City of Music, the celebration has special meaning.

What happens

  • Street parades by the bands through the town centre.
  • Special concerts in the societies’ theatres.
  • Induction of new musicians, a very emotional moment for young students and their families.
  • Religious services and members’ get-together meals.

How to join in

Most parades are open and free. For theatre concerts, check the official channels of the Banda Primitiva and the Unió Musical to see if you need an invitation or ticket.

Beyond Llíria

Almost every town in the area has its own music society and celebrates Saint Cecilia around the same dates. Check your town hall’s programme.

Programme subject to change. We’ll update this article with confirmed times.
